Description
亀甲文様（きっこうもんよう）は、日本の伝統的な吉祥文様のひとつです。
この吉祥文様は、めでたく、縁起の良い柄として長年継承されてきた文様のことをいい、亀甲以外には代表的なもので「鳳凰」「瑞雲」「鶴」「獅子」「牡丹」「松竹梅」などがあります。
亀甲文様の元となるのは正六角形です。
これは長寿吉兆の象徴である亀の甲羅の形が由来となっています。
